This is a part-time evening position with pre-defined hours. The associate is responsible for maintaining and managing the iSchool student computer lab, providing general IT support services for faculty, staff, and students, maintaining desktop hardware and software in the College, and assisting in general College Technology Office projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the security, maintenance, and environmental condition of the iSchool Student Lab including the computers, projectors, printers, ancillary equipment, software, and furnishings. Supports student use of software and hardware installed in the lab.
- Serves as primary technical assistant to iSchool faculty, staff, and students during scheduled hours.
- Diagnoses and resolves faculty and staff desktop and laptop hardware and software problems.
- Configures and installs new faculty and staff computers, printers, and associated peripherals Develops and installs desktop and laptop software application images; applies and maintains all software updates.
- Manages loaner equipment reservations and setup program.
- Assists and participates in projects and duties as assigned by the Manager, Technical Services or the Technology Officer.
Qualificaitons
- Two years experience with networked computer hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of or aptitude for learning college-specific software applications
- Willing and able to work established evening hours Monday through Thursday, 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. and additional hours as required.
